Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklifts provide height and versatility. These units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom allows the person using it to raise the cargo to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Regular forklifts aren't able to move the cargo towards and away from the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally utilized in agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
A forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended in situations needing high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It is available with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck would often use a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is useful for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform which is meant to raise personnel is known as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a strap or chain is used to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
