Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A type of machine that can carry loads that are roughly 30,000 pounds is a forklift. A forklift is also called a counterbalance. Despite being sturdy and big, these industrial machines still bear the possible risk of accident or crash. To be able to be safe, be sure to have operators put on the correct seat belt inside the forklift and make sure that up to standard safety features are on board. We all know that in case of an accident, seat belts could save lives.
Three-Point Seat Belt
The kinds of seat belts that can extend both across the upper body and over the lap are the three-point seat belts. These kinds of belts provide an added safety degree by protecting your body. They are available in both bucket-seat and bench-seat types. The 3-point seat belts are available in either retractable and non-retractable styles.
Retractable seat belts are usually used in the majority of modern vehicles on the market. Though non-retractable kinds increase safety, retractable types offer much more comfort. It is impossible for a non-retractable seat belt to extend accidentally.
Lap belts
Two-point lap belts are those that extend over the lower portion of the body. Most lap belts are non-retractable and feature a push-button closure system. In order to secure the seat belt, simply press on the belt button and then the two sides would separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The kind of seat belt which forces a forklift operator to put on a seat belt is a circuit-closed seat belt. These seat belts have a micro-switch attached that makes an alarm sound if an operator starts a vehicle and is not secured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both retractable and non-retractable lap-band styles.
